Humanities

Humanities includes literature, poetry, ethics, religion, philosophy and social science. The humanities also includes arts, theatre, music and cinema.A study of humanities develops in the Physician an aesthetic sense,an inner refinement of spirit,a sensitivity and sensibility that shapes his conduct and an acute awareness of the influence of the mind on human behavior and of  the mind on the mind-body complex. It helps the physician to improve his analytical and observational skills and inculcates a greater sense of ethical and moral valueswhich will stand him in good stead in our fast changing world, where there seems to be a decline in values in almost all fields of human endeavour.
